An opening tree maps how chess openings branch apart move by move from the starting position. In Openle, each guess is scored by how deep it follows the same branch as the hidden opening.

Openle keeps things simple. Your progress, statistics, and preferences are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) — they stay on your device and are never sent to us.
There are no accounts and no tracking cookies, and we don't collect personal information. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that gives us anonymous, aggregate traffic counts without tracking you across sites or building a profile.
